Frequently Asked Questions

  1. What is the cost of therapy? Alpha Omega Clinic offers a sliding fee scale based on income and family size. Please call our administrative office at 301-767-1733 to discuss what rate you qualify for.
  2. Do you accept insurance? Alpha Omega Clinic does not work directly with insurance, however services may be covered in part or in full if your plan includes “out-of-network” benefits for mental health services. Please consult with your insurance company to review your coverage. Alpha Omega Clinic will provide a receipt at the end of each session for you to submit to your insurance company for reimbursement.
  3. How long are the sessions? A typical session is 45 minutes.
  4. How many sessions will I need? At your initial intake session, your clinician will recommend a treatment plan for you based on your needs. We typically recommend scheduling sessions once per week for at least the first 4 to 6 weeks, but frequency of sessions is at the discretion of the client.
  5. What forms of payment do you accept? Payment is due at your session and we accept cash, check or major credit card (VISA, MC, AMEX, DISCOVER). If your sessions will be paid for by another individual or organization, please call our main office to discuss third party billing.
  6. What if I need a psychological evaluation? Alpha Omega Clinic offers a full range of cognitive and personality assessments in our Fairfax, VA office. Please call our main office for more information on pricing and availability.
  7. What if I need medication? Alpha Omega Clinic does not offer psychiatric evaluation or medication at this time. We would be happy to refer you to a local psychiatrist. Please call our main office for more information.
  8. Can I speak to a therapist on the phone? At this time, Alpha Omega Clinic does not offer phone consultation or therapy, but our administrative staff is happy to assist you with setting up a face to face consultation so that a clinician can meet you in person and best assess your needs.
  9. What is your cancellation policy? Alpha Omega Clinic requires at least 24 hours advanced notice of cancellations for scheduled appointments. Your full session fee will be charged for missed sessions not cancelled 24 hours in advance. For routine calls to cancel or make appointments, please call our administrative office at 301-767-1733.
  10. What is your tardiness policy? If you are running late to your appointment, please call our administrative office at 301-767-1733 or notify your Clinician directly at the number provided to you at your first appointment. Appointments will not be held if you are more than 20 minutes late to your appointment without notifying your Clinician.
  11. What is your inclement weather policy? In the event of inclement weather, please contact your clinician directly to determine the status of your appointment. Our administrative office will be closed when Montgomery County Schools are closed due to inclement weather.
  12. What are your office hours? Alpha Omega Clinic offices are open by appointment only. Please call our administrative office to set up an appointment with a clinician. Our intake coordinators are available to assist you M-F 10am-4pm at 301-767-1733.
